Performance & Core Web Vitals

A faster site,
measurably.

Slow pages cost you visitors, conversions and rankings. I find what's really slowing your WordPress site down and fix it at the source — not just by installing another caching plugin.

Performance

Speed that lasts

Most slow WordPress sites suffer from the same handful of problems: heavy themes, too many plugins, unoptimized images, missing caching and a bloated database. I measure first, fix what matters most, and show you the before and after with real numbers.

A good fit if you

  • Fail Core Web Vitals in Google Search Console or PageSpeed Insights
  • Have a site that feels slow, especially on mobile
  • See a slow wp-admin or timeouts when editing content
  • Run campaigns or landing pages where every second affects conversions
  • Have stacked optimization plugins without seeing real results

What's included

Performance audit

Lab and field data analysis — Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights and Search Console — with a prioritized list of what to fix.

Core Web Vitals

Targeted fixes for LCP, INP and CLS: render-blocking resources, layout shifts, heavy scripts and slow server response.

Caching strategy

Page, object and browser caching configured for your host and your content, with sensible cache invalidation.

Database tuning

Cleanup of autoloaded options, revisions and transients, plus slow-query fixes that speed up both the front end and wp-admin.

Asset pipeline

Minified, deferred and conditionally loaded CSS and JavaScript, so each page loads only what it needs.

Image optimization

Modern formats, correct sizing, lazy loading and priority hints for the images that matter most.

How we work

  1. Measure

A baseline of your key pages on mobile and desktop, so improvements can be proven, not guessed.

  2. Prioritize

A clear report of the issues found, ordered by impact and effort, so you decide what gets fixed first.

  3. Optimize

Fixes applied on staging first, then deployed — without breaking functionality or changing your design.

  4. Verify

Before-and-after metrics for every page we worked on, plus recommendations to keep the site fast over time.

Frequently asked questions

Can you guarantee a 100 PageSpeed score?

No one honestly can — scores depend on your content, third-party scripts and hosting. What I can promise is measurable improvement on the metrics that matter for users and for Google, documented before and after.

Will you change my design?

No. Optimization happens under the hood. If a specific element is hurting performance badly, I'll explain the trade-off and let you decide.

Do I need to change hosting?

Not always. Many sites get much faster on the same host. If your server is the real bottleneck, I'll tell you and help you choose and move to a better option.

What about third-party scripts like chat, ads or analytics?

They are often the biggest problem. I audit them, load them more efficiently or delay them until needed, and flag the ones that cost more than they bring.

How long do the improvements last?

Fixes made at the source — code, database and configuration — last much longer than plugin tweaks. New content, plugins and scripts can slow things down again, which is why ongoing monitoring is part of my maintenance plans.
